Kaolin Street

We went away for the weekend.

Broken Hill is just a few hours down the road.
     Mad Max country!

The desert is beautiful and we were listening to
The John Butler Trio which often has digeredoo in their songs.

It really helped to bring the landscape to life.
Plenty of goats and emu's along the highway. Its a travel in the daytime trip.
We stayed on Kaolin Street.
More later.

Oh man, sure, I memorized Mad max and the Road warrior back then--great movies if you can stomach the brutality!

Mad Max country indeed! Bleak, surreal and fascinating!
Kaolin Street? Is there a story there?

Wow, Mad Max, we saw at least two of those movies way back when. We would most definitely stop at that neat little museum. Great, forlorn countryside.

I've only been to Broken Hill once...about 18 years ago. Happy Bithday sister!
